Francisco Salazar was the alias of Capt. Vicente T. Cubero, first guerrilla leader in Bohol who established his headquarters in a secret location known as “Above the Clouds.â€Â Brave to the point of being reckless, Capt. Francisco launched a major assault on Japanese forces in Tagbilaran in October 1942; unfortunately Capt. Francisco was so exposed that he was hit and killed in the battle. - Prof. Ricardo T. Jose |
