Photocopy of a biography, prizewinner in a contest to write about Francisco Salazar, guerrilla leader in Bohol.

The author, a local historian and local government official, knew many of the guerrillas. Francisco Salazar was the alias of Capt. Vicente T. Cubero, first guerrilla leader in Bohol who established his headquarters in a secret location known as “Above the Clouds.” Brave to the point of being reckless, Capt. Francisco launched a major assault on Japanese forces in Tagbilaran in October 1942; unfortunately Capt. Francisco was so exposed that he was hit and killed in the battle. - Prof. Ricardo T. Jose
