500			_aYulo was the general manager of Casa de Hijos de Teodoro Yulo of Negros Occidental, and the first notary public of Iloilo during the American occupation. Son of a rich sugarcane plantation owner in Negros Occidental and brother of Mariano Yulo, the physician. He received his primary education in Molo, Iloilo, where he was born; attended high school at Letran; and obtain three degress from U.S.T. namely: bachiller en artes, perito agrimensor, and licenciado en jurispridencia. During the Spanish regime he served as a lieutenant in the Caballeria de Voluntarios. He became the first notary public of Iloilo during the American occupation. He was also general manager of the Casa de Hijos de T. Yulo.
