Built in 1880, the house was owned by Imus teachers Guillermo Tirona and Jacoba Paredes. The posts, floorings, walls and rafters were made of molave and narra, especially chosen from the Chinese lumber merchants in Binakayan, Kawit and from the far-off forests of Mindoro. Its ground floor served as a primary schoolhouse until 1896 and as a hospital during the Revolution.
