Photo shows one of the inner patios of the old school building in Intramuros. The school was founded by Fr. Miguel Benavides, O.P. on April 28, 1611, originally named Colegio de Nuestra Señora del Rosario. Later it became Colegio de Santo Tomas, in honor of the great Dominican theologian St. Thomas Aquinas. It was made a university in 1645.
