Men of prestige--the kadangyan (member of the aristocracy) and mumbaki (local priest)-- carrying a spear and a knife, move around the pig to be offered to the gods to gain their favor--e.g., a good harvest, or being spared from calamities. They dance to the beat of the gongs, moving their feet sideward or stomping. The dancers also imitate the sound the pig makes as they pierce its neckImage type: Original
