Teodoro was the former cigar-factory worker who founded Ang Tibay Shoes and Slippers. He belonged to President Quezon''s inner circle of friends and supporters. Born in 1887 of poor parents from Caloocan, Teodoro worked as laborer at age 12 in the El Oriente Cigar and Cigarette Factory.
