Darara is the large mat for rice grains that was rara-om or woven by a Maranao expert pararara, tarara or mat weaver. The Tagbanuwa of Aborlan, Palawan, will say "rara it ikamen," while the Ilocano from Bangui Peninsula will say "agrara ti ikamen" to refer to weaving pandan mats.
