N1  - A photo of the church built after the earthquake of 1863. This Gothic church houses the Chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary, where a statue of Our Lady is enshrined. According to tradition, the miraculous image saved the Philippines from Dutch invasion in 1646. Hence, it is also known as Our Lady of La Naval, honored yearly in a procession held every second Sunday of October. Flanked by the Convent of Santa Rosa and the Dominican Monastery, the Santo Domingo Church was located close to the Intendencia. On the façade were the images of Saints Dominic and Francis Assisi and three heavily carved doors done by the same sculptor who did the pulpit of the interior. Unlike most of the old churches in Intramuros which stood just by the streetsides, Santo Domingo had a close and enough space between the street and its doors. YYY; With prints
