One of several canvases Luna was supposed to send to Manila from the   Academia de San Fernando in Madrid, where he was a Manila City Government pensionado. The scene, depicting the pact of friendship between Sikatuna and Legazpi in 1565 through a play of light and shadow, includes the two protagonists, Fray Andres de Urdaneta, and Legazpi's nephew Felipe de Salcedo.; print
