Ancheta adds his own comments on the USAFIP NL operations; his assessment of the Battle of Tangadan, and the officers of roster. He also reprints Gen. Robert H. Arnold’s account of the contribution of the people of Abra to the defense and liberation of the Philippines.

Arnold was a guerrilla leader in northern Luzon; Ancheta was a reserve officer who commanded a regiment of the USAFIP NL at the end of the war. As in the original report, a fold-out chart of the USAFIP NL’s chain of command is included. - Prof. Ricardo T. Jose
