A set blue-and-white Ming bowl and covered bowls. The small fragile bowl seen at the back has a finely drawn blue design of a sleeping child. It is the only one of its kind excavated in Panay. It measures 2 inches high and 4 inches in diameter. The rest are covered bowls of different shapes and sizes. At the extreme right is a 3-inch high polvera with undulating body and cover, the knob of which is shaped like a tiny elephant(or cat) of pink clay. To the left is another blue-and-white piece, 2.5 inches high, with a flying heron design on top of its cover. The covered bowls were used as containers of betel nut ingredients or tobacco leaves and also as make-up kits for women; With prints UR - http://retrato.com.ph/retratoimages/Midsize/SC/SC00581a.jpg UR - http://retrato.com.ph/retratoimages/Thumb/SC/SC00581a.jpg UR - http://www.retrato.com.ph/photodtl.asp?id=SC00581 ER -
