N1  - Lucente, a journalist from Leyte, was the editor of An Kaadlawon, the first local newspaper in the province in 1906. Its publication was made possible by the American military authorities, who allowed the use of their printing facilities. Photoengraving of well known Visayan poet. In 1968, as approved by  the Municipal Board, City of Tacloban, F. Torres Street was changed to Iluminado Lucente Street in honor of the prominent and illustrious man, "in order to perpetuate his name in the memory of the constituents of the community."
