N1  - These ternos, following the silhouette of European evening gowns, are out   close to the body.  The sobrefalda has been taken off and the pañuelo, particularly of the lady on the right, has become an integral part of the  bodice, looking more like a collar than a separate accessory.  Silk and brocade were fashionable terno materials
