Oil on canvas. 36" x 36". Rebel leaders are hanged. Conspirators are executed. One of executioners has jumped from the ladder to the third man's body, to weigh him down so that his neck might break. Fourth conspirator in the foreground, draped in a white robe, is comforted by friars who had led procession to the gallows through the main streets of the town.
