Photo shows the new church of Igbaras standing beside the ruins of the old church. The parish was founded in 1759 by Fr. Juan Aguado who became its pastor three years later (1762) and again in 1765. Fray Juan de Medina, the "apostle of Panay," had come earlier, however, to build a small church in 1615. The present reconstruction of the church was started in 1966 during the term of the Rev. Pedro Sedantes. YYYImage type: Reproduction: PhotographMedia format: With prints
