Sweeping in scope, but not in detail, concluding that Filipinos fought best as guerrillas. Has only one brief chapter on World War II in the Philippines (Chapter VII: The Commonwealth and the Japanese Epochs) which barely scratches the surface. Has one chapter on the post-war Huks, and one chapter on the Cuban revolution purportedly to compare with the Philippine experience.
