Oton Ming Wares

Ming wares excavated in Oton. Left is a blue and white tea pot with cover and 3 ears, ca. 14th century, one of three identical pieces recovered from the site; decorated with floral and cloud designs executed in stylized, spiral manner; and measures 11 cm. high. The clay is reddish in parts and not covered with glaze, while the bottom is unglazed and has a narrow footrim. In the middle is an early 16th century bowl, 7.5 cm. high and about 8inches in diameter, with undeglazed enamels in red,green and a little yellow. At the right is a 14th century botle, some 20 cm. high and one of the 3 of its kid recovered; has flared mouth supported by a slender neck. the designs of the bottle are painted under bluish glaze.
