This is the ivory image of the Nuestra Señora del Santísimo Rosario - La Naval de Manila which is the gift of the Governor and Captain General Don Luís Pérez Dasmariñas in 1593 and was made by a pagan Chinese sculptor under the direction of Captain Hernándo de los Rios Coronel. This is the same image that was given the Canonical Coronation. The wooden image brought from Spain by the Dominicans is another image and was destroyed during the last World War.
