Brought to Manila from Spain by Fray Vicente Ingles, O.F.M., this image was carved after the Ntra. Sra. de los Desemparados which is venerated in the Metropolitan Church of Valencia. It arrived in 1719 and was enshrined in the Franciscan church at Sta. Ana de Sapa. The Most Rev.
