The concrete church of Calape was constructed at the turn of the 20th century. The original church was built in 1803 when the Recollects established the parish. Complete with spires, crockets, pointed arches, pierced tracery windows and crowning pinnacles, it is the best example of Gothic architecture in Bohol.
