General note Ducos, a militant Jesuit priest who, in Governor Arandia''s time (1750-1754) conducted a campaign against the Muslims, captured 150 vessels, destroyed 3 villages and freed many Christian captives. He was responsible for the reestablishment of Zamboanga as a military outpost.
