Describes the establishment, organizational structure, operations and relations with other guerrilla units of this prominent guerrilla outfit in the Bicol area. Provides a roster of one company of this unit, and various other documents.
The author began initial research in the 1980s, and was able to interview key veterans who were still alive, as well as access their diaries and other documents. He had to shelve it to deal with more practical concerns, but was awarded a research grant by the National Historical Institute in 2004, enabling him to finish this book. - Prof. Ricardo T. Jose
