As early as age four, Bontoc boys sleep in a male dormitory (ato); girls sleep in a female dormitory (ulog) beginning age seven, but spend the day with their families (CCP Encyclopedia of Philippine Art, Vol. 1, 162). (See also PE00681 and PE00813.)
