Convenience store

By the 1930s, the Filipino has ventured into retail trading and was handling merchandise sourced mostly from farms. He sold directly to local consumers and collected goods for the big buyers in the city, who would then ship them to manufacturers overseas. Filipino sari-sari stores also offer imported articles for sale.
