This original photograph is from the estate of U.S. Navy seaman, Steve W. Husava, a native of MaKees Rock, PA. who participated in the landing on Iwo Jima, as a combat photographer, aboard the attack transport, USS Hansford, A.P.A. This WWII photo was removed from his album found stored in his footlocker since war's end. This photo taken by Husava, shows the horrific scene of murdered mother and children , left by Japanese forces Manila, Philippines.
