The book tells the whole story, from joining the armed forces, to service in the Philippines just before the war, the siege, imprisonment in the University of Santo Tomas, liberation and return home.
The authors, military nurses themselves, interviewed some of the surviving nurses, and include the story of those nurses captured in Guam.
