The o-log is a dormitory where Bontoc girls stay from age two until they marry. It is a small stone structure with mud walls and a grass roof. A grown person can seldom stand erect inside. Occupying almost all the floor space are boards that serve as beds for the girls. Unlike the fawi or pabafunan(men's house), the o-log has neither an adjoining court nor shady surroundings, for this is built to house its occupants only at night, since the women work all day long in the field.
